“Isang Araw” The Movie Tearjerks Manileños and Caviteños

04/15/2014

Moviegoers in Metro Manila and Cavite dotingly expressed bliss after watching “Isang Araw” (One Day) during the movie tour held April 2 and 11 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City and at Animo Center of De La Salle University in Dasmariñas, Cavite respectively.

Lanie Mejia, a movie enthusiast from Alabang told UNTV news that she felt mixed emotions while watching the movie, “Malungkot na masaya. Sa pelikulang ito marami tayong matututunan. Maraming aral na mapapanood tayo. Masayang masaya at nandoon din ang pagiyak.”  (It is a mixed feeling of angst and joy. We can learn so much from this movie. There is a manifold of lessons that we can get from this movie. It is very enjoyable and a tearjerker.)

Sharon Respecia from Las Pinas sublimely said, “Naubos na ang tissue ko kakaiyak. Sobrang nakakaiyak talaga. In reality nangyayari talaga. Talagang tumatagos sa puso.” (I ran out of tissue paper because I can’t stop crying. It is really a tearjerker. These things really happen in reality. It really touches the heart.)

(The good thing I learned from it was when Kuya Daniel was almost on the verge of revenge because of the extreme oppression he experienced. The best part was hearing Brother Eli Soriano teaching him that retribution to evil works serve no good. Thus, Kuya Daniel, in the end still showed that the best action to reciprocate evil is doing good deeds.)

Ophelia Imperial excitedly voiced her appreciation on the said movie. “May aral. Okay lahat. Maganda. Dapat nga ipalabas iyan sa sinehan saka ilagay sa DVD. Bibili kami.” (There is a wisdom from it. It was superbly done. It is a good movie. It should be shown in theaters nationwide and put on DVD’s. We will surely buy a copy of it.)

Cliff Ibañes, resident from Cavite exclaimed, “Magandang aral na ating nakita at narinig sa pamamagitan ng pelikula ni Kuya Daniel na Isang Araw Lang.” (We have seen and heard prodigious insights from the movie “Isang Araw” by Kuya Daniel.) “Kapag hindi nakapanood, napakalaki ang nawala sa kanilang buhay.”, he also added.(Those who would miss it will surely miss a big portion of their lives.)

The movie opening at the dome was graced by OPM singers Shanne Velasco, Beverly Caimen and Gerald Santos who amused the crowd with their heartfelt rendition of the songs composed by Kuya Daniel Razon entitled “Alay Sa’Yo”, “Pangarap ng Puso” and “Pagasa ng Puso”.

While, Doctor Musiko Mon Del Rosario entertained Cavitenos with his live performance of the movie’s theme song which he composed. (Carmi Tongol-Anecito / Tess Carcamo)
