UNTV Radio La Verdad kicks off 2014 with Mr. Public Service and Other New Programs
Mr. Public Service and two other new programs greeted the 2nd anniversary of UNTV Radyo La Verdad 1350 kHz this January.
Bearing Kuya Daniel Razon’s own moniker, Mr. Public Service kicked off its pilot airing last Monday (January 13) and will be aired regularly on weekdays from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Kuya Daniel hosts the program and co-anchored by Jo Gonzales.
The one-hour show is dedicated to provide public service and assistance to the common concerns of the public. It opens its communication lines to the listeners for legal and medical consultations and attends to matters such as the slow process and response of government agencies to requests or concerns brought to attention by the callers of the show.
With Mr. Public Service taking the mid-morning time slot, Kuya Daniel’s Dear Kuya program is moved to 10:00 a.m. in a slot of two hours.
Alongside the public service program, Radyo La Verdad also launched Tinig ng Pilipino (Voice of the Filipino) and Kalye Trese Singkwenta (1350 Street).
Tinig ng Pilipino, anchored by Good Morning Kuya’s Congressman Erin Tañada and Jackie Aquino of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), is a program on public affairs that comes on the most current social and national news and issue. The show fills the 8:00-9:00 a.m. radio slot on weekdays.
Hosted by actor Jeffrey Santos and Ms. Tiny Garner, Kalye Trese Singkwenta (1350 Street) is the newest evening program that will update drivers and commuters of the latest traffic conditions and will lighten up the mood of hassle rush hours. It is aired from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
