Dear Kuya Updates (06/10/2013) – On Being Healthy, Charice, and What the Bible Says about Homosexuality

In today’s episode of Dear Kuya, Kuya Daniel Razon shed light on several issues about health, parent-child relationship, and homosexuality.

  •  Kuya Daniel stressed the importance of having a regular physical activity.

“Lack of physical activity causes bloatness, weaker immune system,  and piled toxins in the body. While minor physical activities help, it  is important to have a regular exercise especially cardio exercise like  swimming, running, and brisk walking.”

  • Humor on air: These days children are harder to discipline. Kuya Daniel humorously brought this reality on air, saying in Filipino, “Dati ang mga bata nakukuha sa tingin, ngayon luwa na mata ng magulang, ayaw pa rin pasaway.”

“As parents, let us learn how to take good care of our children, and as children, let us learn to acknowledge that we have a debt of gratitude to our parents,” he advised.

  • In light of  Charice’s recent revelation about her sexuality, Kuya Daniel talked about biblical perspectives on third sex. It is to be recalled that Charice, in an interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz, revealed she’s a lesbian.

Bro. Eli Soriano, Dear Kuya’s resource person, explained that gays and lesbians have wars inside them and that we have to accept the fact that there really are gays and lesbians on earth.

And on the matter if they too can be saved, he said, “God definitely does not agree with homosexual relationships, but they too have a chance to salvation. How? Don’t go against God’s law, obey God. Heaven is open to everybody who wants to serve God.”

Dear Kuya, hosted by Kuya Daniel Razon, airs Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 noon on UNTV Radio La Verdad 1350 khz, with live streaming via www.untvradio.com

  • Still on issues of homosexuality, John shared his love story through Dear Kuya The Drama.

John accepted that he’s gay since he was in high school. He doesn’t get close to men he likes because he feels that having a lasting relationship with them is impossible; he knows he’ll end up hurting. He has experienced the heartaches whenever he heard that his crush got a girlfriend.

He finished college and worked in a call center where he met TL (team leader) Greg. Just like some of his female colleagues, Greg became his inspiration. While John feels excited every time he sees Greg, he chose to keep his affection for him to himself.

In one of the team meetings, Greg announced that their team has got the highest sales for the month and John was the top agent. John felt happy of the news but his happiness abruptly changed to heartaches when Greg invited everyone to his wedding.

So John has to ask: How to stop stop the heart from loving?

From the Holy Scriptures, Bro.

Wrapping up today’s episode, Kuya Daniel left this note to the listeners, “We have to see that God wants all people to be saved. Just don’t do something that will disobey His laws.”
