UNTV’s Good Morning, Kuya! show now on its 2nd year!
This morning, hosts of UNTV 37, Good Morning, Kuya! celebrate the show’s second anniversary with loads of surprises. Many people who availed free medical, dental, legal and other public care went home happy, which is really the purpose of the show: to give and help more people and live up with the station’s tagline: Your Public Service Channel.
And what really made this anniversary special is the fact that the City Council of Davao even passed a resolution extending their greetings for UNTV’s 5th anniversary this year, commending the station’s efforts and contributions to society through its daily medical mission. Councilor Peter Lavina, co-authored by Hon. Danilo Dayanghirang and Conrado Baluran, authored the resolution.
Kuya Daniel Razon, the main host of this program, is the brain behind this innovative show (which airs every Monday to Friday, from 4:45-9:00am).
GMK features typical scenarios involving the average Pinoy, with heightened public service, interactive talk show and news reporting. Good Morning, Kuya! puts together segments that espouse rich, relevant and useful information to inspire, empower and educate viewers.
But public service is the show’s highlight. These public services include Medical Mission in Clinic ni Kuya Daniel, free ride in MRT and Bus, free overnight stay in Transient Home and free legal consultation in Law Center ni Kuya Daniel.
According to the report aired in today’s episode, 272 patients were able to avail free medical services (teeth cleaning & extraction, Derma, Gen. Medicine, Laboratory, OB-Gyne and Surgical consultation) from Clinic ni Kuya Daniel today.
A lot of people were able to save their money by riding daily in MRT and Bus for free, especially the Senior Citizens.
Sixty-six (66) homeless people were given an overnight shelter in UNTV’s Transient Home last night. This project, opened last November 2008, is the first ever Transient home that offers free services for the public, especially to the needy.
Simultaneous free medical missions were also done in cities of Zamboanga, Tacloban, Butuan and Davao in celebration of GMK’s second anniversary.
The public also learned important information on what and how’s of Social Security System as featured in today’s Aksyon ni Kuya Daniel segment through the agency’s Media Affairs Department Communications Analyst Ms. Lilibeth Soralvo.
