In Just One Day, The World’s 30th Dirtiest River Gets Cleaned

05/03/2009
UNTV’s Hataw Balita reports another act of public service spearheaded by Kuya Daniel.
Wala talagang magiging mahirap para sa desidido at ‘eto ang napatunayan ngayon ng ating Isang Araw Para sa Kalikasan Project. (Nothing’s hard for those who persevere and that’s what the One Day for Nature Project proved.)
Approximately 2,000 volunteers helped in cleaning the 30th dirtiest river in the world, Sapang Alat (15 km), in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City last.
(Thanks so much to Kuya Daniel and his group for reaching out to Caloocan City. Your group have accomplished things that we are not capable to do. We lack in manpower here in Environmental Sanitation. )
-Hermani De Guzman (Environmentalist Sanitation Services Center)

Earth Day may be just one day, but what Kuya Daniel and the Bible Readers’ Society International did will be remembered forever.

Watch the report of UNTV 37 Hataw Balita as it tells all of the fruits of Kuya Daniel‘s Isang Araw Lang (Just One Day) Campaign.

Wala talagang magiging mahirap sa desidido. At ‘ito ang napatunayan ngayon ng ating Isang Araw Para sa Kalikasan Project.

(Nothing is ever hard for the decided. And this is what we’ve proven with our Just One Day for Nature Project.)

Approximately 2,000 volunteers helped in cleaning the 30th dirtiest river in the world–Sapang Alat (15 km)–in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City last April 21, 2009.

(To Kuya Daniel, thank you very, very much to you and your group. You have given great help to the city of Caloocan. What we could not do, your group has done. For here in Environmental Sanitation, we lack manpower. But with the help of your group,  the people have seen or have become aware of the care that we should give to our rivers. Thank you very, very much to you and to the Bread Society International.)

This is a very inspiring advocacy and movement coming from Kuya Daniel Razon.

This is one proof that people are now beginning to see and realize the good intention and sincerity of this Isang Araw Lang campaign once aired on TV (which I only learned on Youtube!).

I hope that many more people, action groups, students, government officials and even popular TV personalities and celebrities will take part and share their part in this very humble project.

At least for now, I can dream of a better nation. Thanks po, Kuya Daniel!

The hope for a better nation is possible to achieve

In just one day the worlds 30th dirtiest river in the world gets cleaned. One day can mean so much..

If the Philippines has the Most corrupt president reported in Times Asia Magazine and has the most numbers of murders in the Guinness Book of World Record last 2008. It could be change and it will start in just one day.. A better nation should have a better leader, a leader who has a heart.. and who knows what public service is..

Good leadership is only expected from one who is God-fearing and humble. From these factors, sincerity and the commitment to share genuine public service will be delivered and prioritized than the personal benefit of the leader. Such qualities are hard to find among the politicos and even non-politicos we have in our midst. But I found one or two persons that can truly be called good leaders. The positive results of their works are proofs of their zealousness and commission to do good for everyone.

The Isang Araw Lang campaign (Just One Day) is really inspiring! thanks to Kuya Daniel, he really is the Mr. Public Service of the Philippines and possibly the whole world sooner…

Kuya Daniel has compassion even in environmental concerns such as this. He called in and gather a group of dedicated and concerned youth to take part in this noble mission to clean the 30th dirty river in the world.

More power to Kuya! I hope that more people will continue to support Isang Araw Lang campaign by Kuya Daniel Razon – the Mr. Public Service of the Philippines!

Proud to be pinoy for having such a Kuya Daniel!

    This is the real thing!

Unlike the new and instant hit advocacy Ako Mismo (just because it earned good exposure during the Pacquiao-Hatton fight on national TV), Kuya Daniel Razon’s advocacy’s goal is clear. Its platform cannot be dissed out as another political propaganda because the main thrust of the project to instill positive attitude among the Filipinos is already already founded on solid ground.

All I can say is Kudos to Kuya Daniel ng Bayan! This is really one heroic deed that may not receive the most number of exposure on television, radio or print but I have no worries that my participation will ever be used for any hidden motives come elections period.

Just when we thought that all hopes for a better (social)environment were gone, along came Mr.Public Service Kuya Daniel Razon, whose vehicle is honest-to-goodness service to people.

    30th dirtiest no more.

I hope Kuya Daniel’s move will serve as a model to act not propelled by political agenda or any personal gain.

Which is the true essence of “Serbisyong Totoo…”
